Lofrans Circuit Breaker
The required version depends on the wattage of the winch motor:
The 40 Ampere version is suitable for a 500 Watt motor (e.g. the Lofrans X1)
The 70 Ampere version is suitable for a 700 Watt and 1000 Watt motor (e.g. the Lofrans X2)
The 100 Ampere version is suitable for a 1500 Watt motor (e.g. the Lofrans Tigres)

Περιγραφή
A circuit breaker or thermo magnetic fuse is an indispensable part in the installation of an electric windlass. A brand like Lofrans considers it a requirement to be eligible for warranty at all. This thermal fuse is located between the + wire from the battery to the control box of the winch and immediately switches off the power in the event of dangerous short circuits. In the event of overload, it does not immediately switch off the power, but uses a curve, which allows the winch to be overloaded for a short time, after which it switches off the power after about a minute. This makes it possible, for example, to deploy the full power of the winch when the anchor is stuck. Just like the modern plug in the meter cupboard, the breaker can easily be switched on again after tripping.
